It is a bank holiday here today and it is hot. 32 degrees to be precise, a record for here at this time of year. Usually whenever a bank holiday comes around here it’s raining. To have a dry bank holiday weekend is rare, it’s even rarer for it to be a heatwave.
Part of me is happy that it is a nice day. Another part of me is thinking that she’s going to have a hell of a time getting to sleep tonight. A third part of me is worried about this being another sign of climate change, while the fourth part is telling parts 2 and 3 to have a Solero and shut up, in their best Peter Kay voice.*
If you’re in a place with hot weather today, I hope you’re staying hydrated and have got the SPF on.
*Edit: I don’t have any Soleros but I do have Tesco own brand ice cream cones, and they’ll do very nicely.
